TESTING

What is Acutis’ testing turnaround time?


Acutis strives to return test results back to physicians within 24 hours of receiving a sample at the lab.




How do I access my lab test results?


  • Infectious disease: At this time, lab test results will be available to you upon receipt of a completed HIPAA release authorization. Reach out to your physician if you are interested in being granted access to this information.
  • Toxicology: Patients should request their lab test result reports directly from their referring provider. For those requests made to Acutis, we will ask for a written request via a completed HIPAA release authorization form for any such requests.




I have questions about my test results. Who should I talk to?


Patients should discuss their results with the ordering provider or authorized personnel within the referring facility.




Can I request my own laboratory tests?


At this time, Acutis does not accept orders directly from patients. If you are interested in having a specific laboratory test performed, please ask your healthcare provider if the test is appropriate for you, and if he/she can order the test(s) for you. To facilitate your discussion, it might be helpful to bring your healthcare provider a printed copy of the brochure or page from our website where you learned about the test.





COVID-19

What is the cost of COVID 19 PCR and Antibody Testing?


Most insurances are covering COVID-19 testing with no cost to patients. Uninsured patients will be covered by HRSA. Charges for testing are listed below:​​​​

  • Acutis’ SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing cash price is $200.00.
  • Acutis’ SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Antibody testing cash price is $75.00 per unit.




Does my physician offer COVID-19 testing through Acutis Reveal?


To see if your physician offers COVID-19 testing through Acutis Reveal, reach out to your healthcare provider to see if they work with Acutis. If so, speak to your provider to find out if the test(s) is medically necessary for you, and if he/she can order the test(s) for you.





PAYMENT

How do I submit payment for testing services?


Please visit our Patient Portal for instructions on how to submit payment online, over the phone, or through the mail.





BILLING / INSURANCE

Why did I receive a bill from Acutis?


The invoice you received is for laboratory services provided by Acutis Diagnostics, which were ordered as medically necessary by your physician. This invoice is for laboratory testing fees only and is separate from any bill you may have received from your physician and/or paid at your physician’s office.




Does my insurance cover Acutis’ testing?


Acutis is a participating provider for a large number of insurance networks. A listing of participating networks is available here or you can call the Billing Department to inquire if we accept a particular insurance plan.




How can I pay my bill?


You can pay your bill online through our secure Patient Portal, here. If you prefer to mail a check, please make note of your invoice number on the check memo line and send to: 400 Karin Lane, Hicksville, NY 11801

  • Acutis Reveal GIT: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 7 days
  • Acutis Reveal PIT: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
  • Acutis Reveal RIT: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
  • Acutis Reveal COVID-19 Antibody: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
  • Acutis Reveal COVID-19: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
  • Acutis Reveal Bordatella: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
  • Acutis Reveal Flu A/B & RSV Assay: 15°C to 30°C ambient temperature for 48 hours
